Which Lake Mower™ Model Do I Need?
The RG2500 is capable of handling most aquatic weeds with ease. If your weeds are extremely dense or thick, such as bulrushes,
cattail, or lily pads, we recommend the more powerful HD5000 model.

What Type of Battery Would I Need, and How Long Could I Operate the Lake Mower™ Before Needing to Recharge It?
You will need a 12V deep cycle marine battery (typically 100Ah or 120Ah), separate from the one your boat motor might be using. On a full charge, the
HD5000 will run for approximately 7 hours. The RG2500 will run for approximately 10 hours. Keep in mind that you will need to recharge your battery.

Will I Need to Order Additional Spare Parts?
Your Lake Mower™ will come with extra fuses, setscrews, and an Allen wrench (hex key) necessary for assembly. Occasionally our customers will drop a small
part in the water. We recommend that assembly is always performed on land. However, if you should need a replacement part for any reason, simply call us
and we can ship the part to you immediately.
Due to the nature of cutting underwater, there is the potential of running into something solid, such as a rock, log, or man-made debris. If this should occur,
the mounting bracket for the Lake Mower™ has been designed to break in such a way to prevent the Lake Mower™ from falling into the water and to
prevent damage to your boat. Mounting brackets can be ordered complete or just the affected parts. Some of our customers prefer to purchase a spare mounting
bracket to have on hand in the event that they need it.
The blades are extremely tough, self-sharpening agricultural blades that never need replacement.

Could I Buy An Extender Later If I Needed One?
If you need to cut deeper than 3 feet, you can order either a 2-foot or a 4-foot extender at any time. The extender simply fits between the cutter head and
the vertical drive shaft, and connects with 4 dog point setscrews at each end.

Would I Need A Permit To Cut My Aquatic Weeds?
There are areas and specific weeds that require permits - too numerous for us to keep track of. Please check with your state DNR, the EPA, city or county
officials, or local water authority before buying. In Texas, aquatic weeds fall under the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and one needs to submit a
treatment proposal two weeks before cutting. We'll send you the details on how to do so upon request.

How Do I Remove the Weeds Once I Have Cut Them?
It is important that the cuttings are removed from the water. Not only is it unsightly to leave them there, but large volumes of decomposing plant material can
adversely affect the ecology. Additionally, certain plants, such as Eurasian Milfoil, can
propagate from the fragments.
The cuttings are typically raked to shore, where they can be removed via
nets or pitch forks. In the summer of 2007, we will have a boat-mounted
rake available for purchase. This rake will easily push the weeds to shore
for you, saving time and energy!
Once on shore, the cuttings will shrink as they dry. Some aquatic weeds
make excellent compost for gardens and flowerbeds!

How Often Do I Need To Mow?
Our customers report mowing 2 to 4 times per season. The rate of regrowth depends on the type of aquatic weeds, the temperature, the depth at which one is able
to cut, etc. We've had some customers tell us their lily pads didn't regrow
at all after having kept them under the surface for a season!

How Fast Can I Mow?
You can mow approximately 1 acre every 3 hours. The time spent will depend on the type
and density of the weeds, your boat motor, etc. We suggest cutting at a
slow, steady pace to prevent any serious damage in the event you encounter an obstacle. Several of our
customers use two Lake Mowers™, one on each side of
the boat, to cut a wider area in one pass.

What Kind Of A Warranty Does The Lake Mower™ Have?
The Lake Mower™ comes with a one-year warranty and a 30-day guarantee. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with the Lake Mower™, you may return it
within 30 days for a 100% refund of your purchase price, less shipping. We just ask that you call us first so that we can help arrange the return or perhaps
resolve the problem that caused you to want to return it. Our Lake Mowers™ are high quality machines built to last. Our first mowers have been in use
since 1994. We like our customers to be happy with their machines for a long, long time. If ever there is a problem, don't hesitate to call us. We stand behind
our product and are always ready and willing to help resolve any problem that may occur.

How Do I Go About Ordering From Australia or New Zealand?

1. By Phone: Call (512) 393-5073 any time. If we're not answering, please leave a phone number and we'll return your call. Let us know which city
you're calling from so we can determine what time to call.
2. By Fax: You may print out the order form, fill it out, including credit card
information and fax, day or night, to (512) 393-5074. We will call you to verify your order and answer any questions you may have. For security reasons,
do not send credit card information via e-mail.
3. By Email: Fill out the online order request and submit it. We will call you to verify your order, answer any questions
you may have, and take down your payment information.
4. By Mail: Please contact us first via phone, fax or email so that we can discuss your purchase and give you the amount to add for shipping. Then
print out the order form, fill it out, obtain a check or money order in US$ for the amount and mail to the
address on the form.

What is the Cost of Shipping and How Long Does It Take?
Contact us for a quote to your address (typically upwards of US$350.00). Shipping takes about 7-15 days, sometimes more if it gets sidelined to quarantine
for a while.
What Extra Costs Apply to an International Order?
Import duty and UPS (our carrier) brokerage fees will be collected at delivery. Also, keep in mind the effect of the exchange rate between the U.S. dollar
and your currency, as well as the slightly higher fee credit cards may charge on transactions in foreign currency.

We do have a 30-day return policy, and would be happy to take it back if we need to, but the return shipping would be quite costly. It may be more beneficial
